A carbon wheel without holes in the rim bed (the rim bed is undrilled / sealed rim bed) means the rim is uniform at every point, with no critical areas to be stressed.

The advantages of carbon fiber wheel without holes in the rim bed (other than the valve hole):

Because the rim tape is not necessary on a carbon wheel with a sealed rim bed, which can save you about 40g of weight on one wheel set.

These advantages mean increased responsiveness and acceleration in terms of wheelset performance.

A carbon wheel set without holes in the rim bed requires more time and patience when building wheels. It's not as quick as a normal wheelset (with holes in rim bed) when the spoke/nipple needs to be replaced.
